Humility, peace, and meekness of heart are so united that wherever one of them is found there also is to be found the other; and whoever is meek in heart is also humble; and conversely, whoever is humble in heart is also meek and peaceful. This is why the Lord spoke of them together: “Learn of me, for I am meek and humble in heart” (Matt. 11:29). . . . Hence, if you love peace of heart, strive to enter into it through humility.
